Role activity

Typical responsibilities of the job include:

  • producing results and reports on a daily and weekly basis
  • building, programming and maintaining databases (Access) 
  • setting up and automating reports
  • reporting and analysing marketing campaigns
  • providing marketing research and customer profiling/segmentation
  • extracting data using automated tools (Supermetrics)
  • setting up reporting in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads
  • producing regular marketing performance reports using Microsoft Office and Google Sheets & Data Studio
  • using the mapping system for store and customer location planning
  • supporting media planning campaigns for Account Managers
  • supporting client relationships – using data to unlock new business areas
  • manage data control for information officer

Qualifications

Any numerate degree discipline is acceptable, although we prefer a maths/numerate/computing, behavioural science, business, management, marketing subject. Of these, specialist professional or postgraduate analytics/marketing qualifications would be preferred.

Experience

The ideal candidates would need to have 4 years’ demonstrable experience of which at least 2 would need to have been in marketing analytics. This should have a focus on understanding marketing, digital marketing and media planning. He or she should have a solid understanding of customer analysis and market analysis techniques, as well as a proven ability to coordinate with multiple team members and multiple projects. Client facing presentation skills would be helpful, marketing campaign analysis experience essential.

Good personal presentation, and an aura of control. The ability to demonstrate and communicate analytical conclusions to colleagues and clients. Tact and a confident, persuasive manner.

Other comments

We would run a two-stage process. The first stage will be a general interrogative interview and a selection of short exercises; this should take about 30-60mins. The second stage for candidates who progress would be with the Managing Director and Account Director for a further interview, around 120 minutes.
